WHO WE ARE

The Kananga Hope International Foundation (KHI Foundation) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2013 following the super typhoon Haiyan (or Yolanda) in Central Philippines that affected the Provinces of Leyte and Samar. Kananga is a town in Leyte located within the eye of the storm. The effects of the storm were devastating to life, homes, livelihoods, local industries, infrastructure, and the environment. Kananga families, friends, and worldwide supporters formed the foundation to provide humanitarian assistance to the communities in Kananga, as well as other areas.

OUR MISSION AND VISION

We aim to preserve human life, heritage, and the environment and promote health and safety culture. Our goal is to mentor people and communities on basic life support, safety, disaster preparedness, environmental protection, and lifestyles. Advocate, empower, and make a difference.
